A SUCCESSFUL SEASON FOR TUNNEL TOWN JUNIORS!

Team Taylor from (L to R): Jensen Taylor (skip), Meredith Cole (3rd), Keira McCoy (2nd), Chelsea Taylor (Lead) and Brian Cole (Coach)

For Tunnel Town members, Meredith Cole and Keira McCoy, working hard at honing their game is resulting in some big achievements this season.
After winning their Zone Playdowns last month, Team Taylor earned a berth into the 2018 BC Winter Games, which will be held in Kamloops February 25 to 28.  This is the first year that the BC Winter Games curling event will be for U16 curlers.  It was previously a U17 event.  The team will be among the 2,000 athletes, coaches and officials from all over British Columbia who will compete in 19 sports. The athletes will take part in an opening ceremonies at the Sandman Centre.
Hot off the heals from their win into the Winter Games, the team qualified as one of the three teams in their region to participate in the U18 Provincial Championships.
The BC championships will take place from March 13-18, 2018, at Salmon Arm Curling Centre.  Eight teams of each gender will compete for the chance to represent BC at nationals in St. Andrews, New Brunswick.
